    Enrichment

Enrichment at our school is rooted in our vision, Together we learn. Together we thrive. It is carefully planned to complement our curriculum drivers and to support the development of the whole child.

We offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities that enhance pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development alongside their academic learning. These experiences are designed to build confidence, resilience and independence, while supporting pupils’ wellbeing and personal growth.

All pupils in Year 4 take part in statutory swimming lessons, developing essential life skills, water safety awareness and self-confidence. Our sporting enrichment is further strengthened through local partnerships alongside activities such as boxercise and yoga delivered by an external sports provider, promoting both physical health and emotional wellbeing.

Cultural enrichment includes visits from theatre companies, giving pupils access to live performances and creative experiences. Assemblies led by members of our local community help pupils understand their role within society and foster a sense of belonging.

A dedicated careers role-play room, together with assemblies focused on careers education and current events, supports pupils’ aspirations and helps them make sense of the wider world. These opportunities reinforce British Values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance.

Through these meaningful and well-planned experiences, our enrichment offer ensures that pupils are well prepared to learn, grow and thrive together.
